Excuses On The Morning After

Poetry Jun 8, 2021

Are some apologies in order
Or can we just move along?
Can we forget that we crossed borders
Or will you keep look’ at me wrong?

Why don't we act like grown ups
Who have been right here before
Our lust got a bit blown up
Our bodies a bit sore

Don’t look at me like I can’t deal
With not being your Miss Right
I’m am not a mess and feel
Not as fragile as last night

I write whenever the mood strikes or strokes. Things get weird sometimes, but then that's why you're here.
