Let’s Waste The Day Together

Poetry May 25, 2021

I don't want much, just waste the day with you
Take a long walk, no haste, just two
On the same page, nothing to do
Apart from walking, talking through

I want to fall asleep as I awoke
By all means thoroughly unchanged
Remember what your voice evoked
But not the words that we exchanged

I'm unconcerned about tomorrow
Quite at ease with where I’m at
From the past I need not borrow
Present holds tease, future regrets

I write whenever the mood strikes or strokes. Things get weird sometimes, but then that's why you're here.
