Like A Thief In The Night

Poetry May 26, 2021

Like a thief in the night
I let myself in tonight
Have no need for your shoes
You need a third for your twos

Have no need for your car
But the next time you start
The AC full on blows
Cold air on your toes

Your plates need adjusting
As do your cushions
You come home to done dusting
Your washer’s done washin’
